Defendemos, antes de mais, os doentes, quer o sejam já ou estejam em vias de o ser. Detestamos que chamem aos doentes, "pacientes", e não gostamos que lhes chamem "utentes".
Não gostamos que chamem "pacientes", porque se as pessoas pagam um serviço (através de impostos, ou através de seguros de saúde), não têm que ser pacientes! Têm que ser exigentes. Aliás, como são, quando estão numa Escola, num restaurante ou numa papelaria.
Não gostamos que chamem "utentes", porque soa a caritativo ou encapotadamente, a uma forma de "se és utente, não pagas, e também não reclamas". Não. Os cidadãos em Portugal pagam impostos para suportar o SNS, pelo que não são "pacientes", nem sequer "utentes"!

- Living Well – providing information to help people stay fit and manage their health;
- Health A-Z – providing a library of approved medical literature;
- Choose Services – full authoritative and comparative data on standards and availability of services with quality scorecards for all services;
- Your Thoughts- where patients are invited to comment an feedback on NHS services.
