Voltamos a ouvir a voz de mais stakeholders que estiveram presentes neste evento: The World of IT - 2006. Desta vez, analisemos o que disseram os gestores da saúde:
- "For Professor Brian Edwards, President of the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE), “managing processes of healthcare IT implementation is already a challenging task in itself. People who want to use e-systems are often reluctant to invest in the cost implied in a proper implementation structure”"
- "“it is a tough task to introduce a new piece of software in a real operational environment like a hospital, among other things because it requires extensive staff training, and this is something people tend to underestimate”".
- "When you want to implement a healthcare IT system, should you turn to a user first, or to a computing expert or maybe to an accountant? The right answer to this is certainly someone with a solid background to understand the time-cost specifications".
- "Today, there is a need for common healthcare IT systems across national borders. Some industries have already succeeded in doing so. For instance, in banking a way has been found to work together on a transnational scale".
- "probably a European eHealth system is not feasible, as infrastructures and levels of investment are very different".
