Inspiração para o Ministro da Saúde

Lemos aqui, que na Grã-Bretanha, "The government has advertised for firms to effectively take on the role of commissioning services in the NHS". Na Grã-Bretanha, a posição oficial é igual à do governo português, "Ministers deny that is the intention, but if true it marks a new phase in the role of the private sector in the health service".

A tendência, ainda segundo a mesma
notícia, já vem de trás, "In recent years, the government has looked to increase use of the private sector in providing NHS services". Em que, "Nearly one in 10 non-emergency operations are carried out by the private sector and the figure is increasing".

E já vemos onde se inspira o Ministério da Saúde português, "Billions of pounds of contracts have also been signed with the private sector to build new hospitals, known as PFI schemes, or replace community facilities such as GP surgeries and health centres through the LIFT programme". E, até já podemos ver as próximas cenas do S.N.S. "The firms recoup their costs by charging the NHS a repayment fee over a set period - sometimes up to 30 years".

E porquê que o governo britânico faz isto, "The simple answer is that ministers see the private sector as an easy way of increasing resources quickly".

Mas, a ser assim, ou se muda a Constituição da República, ou imperará o cinismo.
